Career and Professional Development Resources

UNM Career Diversity for Historians hosts a number of workshops and events to help history graduate students learn more about the diverse career opportunities for the History PhD. The workshops and online resources are designed to assist students throughout the job search process.

Students will find information here about the Career Diversity workshops, lectures, and sponsored events. In the Events section, we will post campus-wide events hosted by UNM Career Services, the UNM Graduate Professional Student Association, UNM Center for Teaching and Learning, and related career and professional development events.

Students should make every opportunity to take advantage of the career development resources, such as the job search guides, and events hosted by UNM Career Diversity, the History Department, and UNM more widely. Students should also utilize the career resources available at the AHA Career Center.

Please contact Dr. Shannon Withycombe (swithycombe@unm.edu) if you would like to see additional information, resources, or if you would like to propose a workshop or event.
