Declaring a History Major

You've come to the right place! History is an incredibly flexible and useful major for just about any career. Its emphasis on synthesizing conflicting information and crafting persuasive arguments with compelling evidence are essential skills for civic engagement.

Whether you're undeclared or wanting to change your major to History, the first step toward a History Major is to make an appoint to meet with the College of Arts and Sciences History advisor, Cameron Langner (,  from  the College of Arts and Sciences Advisement Center.

Cam will take you through a degree audit, review where you stand with University graduation requirements, and evaluate how whatever you have left to complete a History Major might fit into your schedule. She is the one who can officially change your major to History if that’s what you elect to do.
