Area and Thematic Fields/Interests
Hello! My research interests are in political analysis through a historical lens, with a focus on the medieval world to 1500. I enjoy looking at how historical memory influences political trends and identities across cultures. My main thematic interests are Europe to 1500, Middle Eastern History, Economic and Political Analysis, Prophecy, as well as Paleography and Codicology. I especially enjoy analyzing how prophetic discourses shape political realities and perceptions of power. In my time away from research and teaching, I enjoy writing fantasy works, helping my fiancé run our medieval-themed bakery business, and reading science fiction.
