Works in Progress Colloquium

Friday, April 12th at 3:00 pm.

In this colloquium session the Fulbright Visiting Scholar and PhD student Stella Ferreira Gontijo will present her work-in-progress paper developed from her dissertation research, based on her fieldwork at the "Margaret Randall Papers Archive" available at the UNM Center for Southwest Research (CSWR) and discussions from Dr. Liz Hutchison's "Gender and Revolution in Latin America" fall course. She discusses Margaret Randall's intellectual role as a bridge between the global North and global South, with special attention to the debates on feminism in revolution underway in the region during the mid-20th century.

Title: Feminism and anti-imperialist struggle in Latin America: Margaret Randall's Hemispheric Dialogues (1970s-1980s)
