Announcing the first session of the History colloquium series for 2020-2021, featuring Dr. A. Ricardo López Pedreros (Washington State U) who comes to us via Zoom for a talk titled “A Class that Does (not) Matter: Rethinking Cold War Latin America from the Middle.” The talk is based on Prof. López-Pedrero’s recent book “Makers of Democracy: Makers of Democracy: A Transnational History of the Middle Classes in Colombia,” and will take place on Friday 9/18 at our usual time (2 pm). Please note that this will be a straightforward talk without a pre-circulated paper. The talk is co-sponsored by the LAII and the FRI.
